Burn Treatment
1Cool the burn under cool (not cold) running water for at least 20 minutes.
2Remove any jewellery or clothing near the burn, unless stuck to the skin.
3Cover loosely with a clean, non-fluffy bandage or cling wrap.
4Do NOT use ice, butter, toothpaste or any creams.
5Call 000 for large or deep burns, or burns on the face, hands or feet.

Treating a Blister
1Try not to pop the blister as the fluid inside protects it from infection.
2Clean the area gently with soap and water.
3Cover with a blister plaster or a doughnut-shaped foam pad to take pressure off.
4If it pops on its own, keep it clean and covered to prevent infection.
5Change socks daily on camp and let your feet breathe when you can.

Snake Bite โ Australia
1Stay calm and keep the person as still as possible.
2Call 000 immediately.
3Apply a pressure immobilisation bandage: firm bandage over the bite, then wrap the whole limb.
4Immobilise the limb with a splint if possible. Do NOT move the person.
5Do NOT cut the bite, suck venom, apply ice or a tourniquet.
